Before founding Optimly, Apurva Luty spent a decade in brand, product marketing, and research leadership roles at Microsoft, Meta, and Discord, where she led the company's brand repositioning. At Microsoft and Meta, her work centered on marketing measurement, including marketing mix models and multi-touch attribution systems — the discipline that now underpins Optimly's approach to measuring how AI systems represent brands. She began her career in energy-efficiency and sustainability policy research, co-authoring standards analyses for the California Energy Commission and papers for ACEEE.
